This is one fine collection of songs. Each song is better than the preceding song, up through the final crescendo! There are a couple instrumentals that by themselves are worth the price of admission, but the heartfelt lyrics and musical counterpoints make it a complete package. If you like Warren Zevon or Tom Petty, you will LOVE Skunky Rooster!

Skunky Rooster makes me sad. Sad because music this good is very rarely heard these days. If there was any justice in the world of music, Skunky Rooster would be touring to sell out crowds, be respected by musicians worldwide, not to mention Johnny Press, and asking me to play bass on the next release. Unfortunately, no main room in Vegas, bloated physique, death in the rest room, await Skunky Rooster. It's no longer in the cards. They'll just have to be happy with permanent rotation in my headphones!

A great listening album for sure!!!! Music for the heart and from the heart!!

Very seldom do I listen to a CD for the first time and really wish I could have either been there, or heard them live. As a veteran of the road myself, this CD spoke to me - great writing, great players playing great, and great tones. Nicely produced and delivered. When's the next one?

I love this guy's guitar playing! He really rips it up the tune, "Skunky Rooster". There is a polished, rootsy, rawness to his approach with all the tunes on this disc. I was especially taken with "Somewhere Between Lost and Found". From what I've read of his musical pedigree, there's no wonder why I dig this album. From playing with the likes of Warren Zevon to Ginger Baker, Scott Rath is the real deal, folks!

A fascinating collection of genuine art in musical form! Each tune has it's own 'personality,' which is a testament to the songwriting skills of Scott Rath (and Seth Pappas!). Masters level guitar work by Mr. Rath throughout, backed by one of the better rhythm sections (regardless of which bassist) in recent memory.....and NO boring 'sameness' (i.e. you can tell who wrote them because they all sound similar), as is the case with so many new artists. This album is the real deal!!

After a friend turned me on to this and I listened to the complete album, I bought it right away. Some of the best stuff I've heard in years. Every tune worth the listen. Nice stuff Skunky Rooster!
